Ride the alps Cancelled Ride the Alps Nufenen

Whether fast or slow, with muscle power or electric power: the event series "Ride the Alps" guarantees unique car-free pass experiences for all bike fans!

The OC of Ride the Alps was very pleased to have received the permit for the event on 3 October. The interest was overwhelming and 630 registrations were received by 29 September 2020.

The early onset of winter and the weather forecasts with low temperatures over the weekend pose a great challenge for the organisers. For this reason, Obergoms Tourismus AG together with Ochsner Sport and Bellizonese e Alto Ticino Turimo have decided to cancel the Ride the Alps event on 3 October 2020.

Postponed is not cancelled. The organisers are planning to hold the event in early summer 2021, the date is still open, but will be communicated as soon as possible.

Ride the Alps is an event series organised by Switzerland Tourism together with Obergoms Tourismus AG and Ochsner Sport as presenting partners. On Saturday, 3 October 2020, the Nufenen Pass will be closed exclusively for 4 hours (10.00 to 14.00 hrs) for cycling fans. The highest inner-Swiss Alpine crossing can be climbed from the Valais and Ticino sides.
