General information

Embedded in a beautiful natural landscape, the attractive races are held. The quarter marathon counts towards the ranking of the "Oberwalliser Laufcups". For the first time, the mountain marathon will be held in cooperation with the Swiss Peaks Trail.

For the younger generation there are 1, 2, or 3.5 kilometers to master and new is the category Nordic-Walking.

Time measurement
Timekeeping will be done by the organisers of SwissPeaks.

Finish closure
The end of official timing at the Nordic Center will be at 08.00 p.m. Participants who arrive later than that, will not be classified.
The following applies to the mountain marathon: Runners who arrive at the Reckingen/Stalenkapelle aid station after 04.00 p.m. will be taken out of the race.

Awards

  • Each participant receives a finisher prize (finisher shirt).
  • Special price for the mountain marathon. 
  • Natural prizes for ranks 1-3 of each category.
  • No ranking in the category Nordic-Walking: 1st - 3rd prize will be raffled among all starters.
  • Team ranking Nordic-Walking: The team with the most finishers will receive a special prize.
  • Special price for participants in the combined marathon (mountain marathon and Swisspeaks marathon from Morgins).

Medical service
The medical service is ensured by the Samaritans Goms. Several aid stations are located throughout the race course and at the finish.
Three additional broom wagons will also be organised, each with a first aid kit.

Food and drink stations
In total, there will be several food and drink stations with drinks, energy bars from Sponser and bananas.
During the mountain marathon there will be additional refreshments, such as bread, cheese, crackers, Coca-Cola, etc.

Showers / toilets / changing rooms
According to our COVID protection concept, there will be no shower facilities this summer.
In 1.3 km there is a cooling possibility in the form of a bathing lake.

Hint photos
Participants agree that during the event film footage and photos can be taken without compensation claim.
If you do not agree to this, please mark your race number with a red X.

Insurance
Insurance is the responsibility of each participant. The Obergoms Tourismus AG as the organizer declines any liability for accidents, theft or damages of any kind and appeals to the personal responsibility of each individual. Leaving the marked trail is forbidden for sporting and safety reasons and results in disqualification. With the registration, the runner confirms to have the necessary insurance cover as well as the necessary training preparations.
Anyone registered unable to start, is not entitled to a refund of the entry fee. We therefore recommend the online registration with cancellation insurance.
