Breathtaking mountain scenery at the foot of the Rhone glacier
This is a pure, undiluted mountain idyll, the ideal place in which to escape from the everyday, recharge your batteries and sample some outstanding food and drink. Your host greets you at the life-giving spring – the source of the Rhone.

Soak up the atmosphere of the young Rhone and learn more about the Goms region and its multifaceted culture. Making an excursion to this magical place is a unique experience, especially in winter. You can reach it on foot from Oberwald on a cleared winter trail (approx. 1 hour) following directions for the Grimselpass or via the «Hüswäg» snow shoe trail. And if you prefer not to return to Oberwald on foot, you can hire a sledge at the Hotel Rhonequelle.
