Cäsar Ritz, the world-famous pioneer of the hotel trade, grew up in the mountain village of Niederwald. That's why even today Goms is proud to offer food and drink à la Ritz – natural, local and highly distinctive. The food of the Goms region sets a high culinary standard and the catering trade has grown and developed with the passage of time. In Goms people are close to nature, their lives determined to a large extent by the weather and the seasons. Whatever nature produces is used in the kitchen. Products from the next-door farm, from the local butcher and from hand-tended herb gardens all land on the plate. Fresh and home-made. Food is served in the parlour, on the train, on home-made wooden furniture or with a view of natural scenery. You can find an overview of the full offering, peppered with interesting culinary details from this mountain region, in the Goms Food and Drink Guide. |
