St. Anna Chapel (zum Loch)

A characteristic feature is the turret with a pointed helmet. The panels of the coffered ceiling in the chapel nave are painted with incised ornaments. Altar: The altar is considered the earliest dated Goms retable with a strong Régence influence. In 1799, the French burned the statue of Mother Anna in the altar niche, whereupon a sculptor from Uri had the present statue group carved. In the altar niche there is St. Anne herself. The flank statues are St. Catherine on the left and St. Ursula on the right. The ornate crowning depicts St. Mary with the Child Jesus.
