Capanna Piansecco

The hut, which was completely renovated and enlarged in 2020, has ten rooms - two of which (2 and 4 beds) have their own toilet and shower - and a multi-purpose room with PC, projector and screen. Wi-Fi, boot room with boot warmer, drying room, terrace, campfire site, slackline and Avalanche Training Centre (ATC). Various mountain and hiking activities can be done from the hut. In 2012, the "Four Springs Trail" (Rhine, Reuss, Ticino and Rhône) was inaugurated, which runs through the hut. The Piansecco region is also perfect for excursions with children and offers beautiful walks in the surrounding area, such as to Lago delle Pigne or to the shallow pool next to the stream, which is only a few metres from the hut. For climbing enthusiasts, a climbing garden has been set up near the hut with easy and secured routes that are also suitable for children. Those who want to climb more demanding routes in excellent granite can try the wall of the Poncione di Ruino.
