Gommer Natur Bekenntnis.

Together we take responsibility.

Also in the winter time we commit ourselves in 8 points

In the Goms Nature Commitment, we take responsibility for treating the high valley and all the creatures that live here with respect.

More and more people have discovered the mountains for themselves. Therefore, it is important that we take care that it remains as beautiful as it is today in mountain regions such as Goms. In eight simple points, the Winter Goms Nature Confession shows how we can do this together.

1. we do not leave the slopes and paths

We enter the terrain off the marked trails, slopes and paths only when we have sufficient knowledge and the appropriate equipment and when snow conditions permit. We move in the open terrain with special consideration not to trigger avalanches and not to disturb wildlife.

2. we buy regionally and support local hospitality businesses.

When we buy regionally, we support the local economy and avoid long transport routes. In addition, we get to enjoy delicious Gommer specialties.

3. we do not enter game rest zones

In winter, wild animals need undisturbed places of retreat. We respect and honor these wildlife rest and wildlife protection zones, whether on foot or on skis.

4. we do not leave any waste behind.

When we are out in nature, we never leave trash behind, but take it with us and dispose of it correctly. Because garbage has no place in the mountains or in the forest.

5. we share and borrow instead of always buying new.

We are committed to sharing and borrowing better than buying new over and over again, in order to sustainably conserve our planet's resources and build a future of solidarity. An open bookcase comes in handy.

6. we choose our tours consciously and set a careful plan in advance.

We recognize the importance of realistic self-assessment and take the time to consider our physical fitness, experience and competence in the mountains. By preparing responsibly for our mountain trips, we protect not only our own safety, but also that of those who accompany us.

7. we avoid food waste.

Every bite counts. That's why we take care to avoid food waste. At the store, we only buy what we're really going to use. In restaurants, we only order as much as we can eat.

8. we prefer to travel by public transport than by car.

With the MGBahn and the post bus you can get everywhere in the Goms. During the ride you can admire the rustic villages. Traveling by public transport through the Goms is a real experience - and very easy - even with luggage and bike. So we travel by public transport whenever possible.
